I make functional pots using a gritty stoneware clay that fires nicely in a wood kiln. I gather rocks and clays from local road cuts and creek beds and process them into simple slips and glazes. These materials connect the pot to its maker, its user, and its place of origin.

My pots share minerals from familiar places in a permanent useable way; a bit of the hillside becomes a mug for your coffee, a plate for your toast.
